Sulfuro Primario de Cerro Verde Project

AREQUIPA, Peru

 

 

The Sulfuro Primario de Cerro Verde Project is a macroproject for the expansion of the Cerro Verde mine, which has the objective of tripling copper production.Experience gained from the Toquepala Project was of great help to ULMA Construcción when confronting the new challenges posed by this work. It is also worth mentioning that the largest construction companies in Peru participated in this project.The project encompassed the construction of the first, second and third crushers, Silos, Mills, Flotation System, Grinder, Recycling Chamber, Filters, Warehouses, etc. Some of the most important structures to be specially considered are the silos, which are 41 m high structures with an area of 1625 m2, and the mills, which are large block structures of 5 m high and within an area of 1550 m2.

Construction Work for the Primary Crushing Leachable Deposits Formation Project at Toquepala

TOQUEPALA - TACNA MINE, Peru

 

 

The Leachable Deposits Formation Project is part of the Toquepala mine modernization plan. The primary structure is the Crushing Building, which has the mission of crushing the large volumes of minerals hauled to the building. The Primary Crushing building stands 41 m tall and covers a surface area of 390 m2. The crushing building was divided into two zones: the primary zone includes the main slabs (three total) and is divided into four levels, while the secondary zone includes the auxiliary slabs (four total) and is divided into four levels. The Primary Crusher also included the 41 m high cut-off wall construction with total slurry wall surface area of 1,800 m2. Approximately 7,000 m3 of concrete was poured in the crusher building.

El Corte Inglés

El Corte Inglés

JAÉN, Spain

 

 

This project is centered on a building designed to hold a shopping mall and supermarket owned by “El Corte Ingles”. It has 4 floors that are under ground and in the form of a trapezoid, occupying some 13,000 m2 each, which are used for parking, facilities and a supermarket. It will also have another 5 floors and an irregularly shaped roof. Each floor will cover some 6,200 m2, and this will be used as the commercial area.

Ibere Camargo Museum

Ibere Camargo Museum

PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil

 

 

This project received the Golden Lion Award in the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2002, becoming a model for Brazilian architecture. It was designed to be the home of more than 4000 of Ibere Camargo’s works, with 9 exposition rooms, a recording studio, auditorium and an underground parking garage. The building is made completely of concrete. Façade walls are in white concrete, and the interior is designed in ash grey concrete. Continuity of the façade is interrupted by large catwalks also made of white concrete.
