The Wastewater Treatment Plant (E.D.A.R.) of Loyola in Donostia treats wastewaters for the equivalent of a city of 628,000 inhabitants (pretreated urban and industrial waters) using high load biological treatment with the capacity to treat 6,000 l/s. This concrete wastewater treatment plant will process wastewaters from the Commonwealth of Añarbe, which encompasses 10 municipalities in the Donostia area.
For the construction of the biological reactors and the 8 rectangular decanters, Vertical ORMA Formwork was used. The digesters were constructed of Circular Plate BIRA Formwork as were the circular thickeners in which the Climbing Consoles were used. The offices and the wastewater control building were constructed using the RAPID system; the slabs were supported with SP props; and ORMA Modular Formwork was used for putting up walls and pillars.
