Project : Würzburg university clinic

Würzburg university clinic

WÜRZBURG, Germany

In October of 2004, this was the Bavaria’s highest construction. In total more than 143,000 m2 of formwork was laid. Another point to highlight was the use of 7 rotating tower cranes to put up more than 5,000 tons of steel and pour more than 42,000 m3 of concrete.

The architectural requirements, the magnitude of the construction project and the timeframe were the primary factors throughout the execution.Given the architectural requirements, the ULMA Construcción technical team provided custom solutions for each challenge faced by this construction. The circumstances of the construction project presented yet another challenge to rise above, in regards to the limited access and reduced storage space on the construction site.In regards to the amount of material used, it is worth noting the use of 4,600 m2 of ORMA and 3,100 m2 of ENKOFLEX.In almost all the building areas, formwork was laid and concrete was poured immediately.
