This project deals with sports uses, in particular track cycling, and it will be a multiuse, covered velodrome. It is located in the outskirts of Palma, specifically in San Fernando.
The inauguration will be held in 2007 with the Track Cycling World Championship. It will hold a capacity crowd of 5,000 persons. Likewise, it is projected to be the Sub-center for Euro-Basket of Spain in September of 2007 with capacity for 7,500 people.
We found ourselves faced by a large volume work to be completed in a short timeframe. With this key factor (the time) in mind, in a construction project with characteristics that include the variety of material to use and the adjustment of the product to the problem suggested by construction, the follow-up and coordination by the ULMA Construcción team were especially important.
The importance of the work done by the logistics, the assembly and the technical department team are stressed.
The unseen slab section was made with RAPID Horizontal Scaffolding, supported with SP Prop at the height of the prop or G Falsework at heights of greater than 6m. For large loads of concrete and metallic elements, OC Falsework prop was used, and ENKOFORM H-120 Horizontal Formwork was used for the formwork surface.
The BRIO Multidirectional Scaffold was used for structural jobs, and it was used as falsework in some points to prop the ENKOFLEX Horizontal Formwork.
